Hanover
Way back on April 12th, 1776, Hanover had its 15 minutes of fame when Thomas Jefferson himself passed through and stayed at the “Sign of the Horse Inn” on Frederick Street. He paid the owner 11 shillings and 6 pence for dinner and lodging. (Dinner actually cost 11 shillings and 7 pence, but the owner was too polite to say.)
We like to think we’re pretty polite as well. If we’re ever not, though, let us know! We like feedback.
