Scots-Irish immigrants founded the town of Mount Joy in 1721. Contrary to popular belief, the town is named after a supply ship, not a mountain. The pleasant-sounding phrase “take a hike up Mount Joy” was usually said to sailors with poor performance reviews right before they were made to walk the plank.
Luckily, all of our employees are incredibly talented and hardworking and no one’s had to walk the plank yet. Yet.
