Happy Holidays: The Best Gift You Can Give Your Septic System

gift bow

Here we are in the season of giving, so there’s no better time to show some love to your septic system. Unlike when shopping for some of your relatives, it’s not difficult to find something your septic system needs. In return, you’ll have trouble-free wastewater facilities all year long. Preventative maintenance—it’s the gift that keeps on giving. Here are 3 basics when it comes to spoiling your septic system this year.

Install a Filter
A septic filter stops solid particles from your tank from flowing to the leach field. This is a great way to stop clogs and damage to your leach field. Kline’s carries a variety of filters, and it’s simple for a technician to fit one to your septic system. During your regular pump service, our technician will clean the filter as well.

Bacterial Additives
Your septic system uses bacteria to break down waste and ensure effluent is filtered properly. Unfortunately, many household cleaning products kill this beneficial bacteria. To replenish the lost bacteria, we recommend an additive like CCLS to keep your system functioning as it should.

Routine Pump Service
Solid waste builds up over time and must be removed or your system will clog or even suffer damage. We get a lot of emergency calls from folks who didn’t see the value in this basic requirement and end up wasting a lot of time and money trying to remedy the situation. Make this an annual or biannual gift at the very least.

Happy New Year!
When you realize preventative maintenance is much simpler and cost efficient than a septic emergency, wastewater management becomes pretty simple. Contact Us and let’s make 2017 a year free of septic problems. Happy New Year from all of us as Kline’s!
